Wow. The number of Chinese blogs and sites writing about my slash command framework for Claude Code. The world is getting really strange, I never imagined a few markdown commands would ripple out like this.

It's a simple idea, almost silly: slash commands written in markdown for Claude Code, open source, to automate the boring, repetitive part of the dev workflow. It's called CCPlugins. I made it for myself, to stop repeating the same instructions all the time, like asking it to "act like a senior engineer" in every conversation. I published it at the end of July, and within days it started popping up in posts I can't even read without a translator.

Most are Chinese, on Zhihu and CSDN, the two biggest developer communities there. Plus a few in English, on Medium and in tool newsletters.

Publication

Platform

Language

Zhihu column

Zhihu

zh

Zhihu question

Zhihu

zh

Joe Njenga, on Medium

Medium

en

EveryDev

EveryDev

en

What gets me isn't the count, it's the distance. Something I wrote for myself turned into articles in Mandarin that I need machine translation to understand. Slash commands in markdown, that's all. Sometimes the simplest idea is the one that travels furthest, and I'm still processing seeing my name in the middle of characters I can't read.

Update, October 2026: the repository reached 2,776 stars and 167 forks, and it's archived today. Anthropic itself kept adding to Claude Code things the commands used to do by hand, subagents, context memory, and several of them became redundant. I think that's good. That's what they existed for.
